Honoring The Luxurious Legend, Alonzo Herndon in Collaboration with The Cathedral Antiques Show 2014: Inspiration Avenue

It's not everyday that you're invited to take a historical figure of your choice, a time- machine, and your design aesthetic and transplant that historical figure into 2014, as your present day client!

Given this challenge just a few months ago, we at Palmer Design Group decided to use this show house opportunity, presented by the Cathedral of St. Phillip/Inspiration Avenue- to honor the legacy of Alonzo Herndon and remind the people of Atlanta, just how fabulous The Herndon Family was and would be today. as Palmer Design Group clients!

Here are a few snippets of our dining room vignette, inspired by and created for Alonzo Herndon- a perfect representation of luxury, opulence, and hard work.

Bernadaud Impressionist Plates (See Fiofan Pichardo at Owen Lawrence to purchase)  and Abstract Acrylic art in a Regency frame by Carlington Brown- SOLD

A place setting for Norris Herndon, the Herndons' only child and Morehouse/Harvard Alum- how lucky was he??? (and handsome too)

An antique chinoiserie cabinet filled with Bernadaud, Hermes, Gucci, Noritake, and Summer Loftin Antiques goodies!

Inspiration Avenue at The Cathedral of St Phillip was truly an experience; we revamped a legacy and worked alongside legendary designers, made new friends, and most importantly raised funds to support Crossroads Atlanta, a turning point and support system for the homeless and abandoned.

Very Special Thanks to:

Jill Helmer of Jill Seigel Designs for a FABULOUS floral arrangement; it was really an honor to collaborate with you!
