Inspiration In A Bottle

The Guerlain Boutique Paris: Champs-Elysees
You have to love the gold EVERYWHERE to compliment the bottles, and the floor-to-ceiling chandelier!

Palmer Design Group has been antiquing for a project lately and have really been inspired by the vintage perfume bottles of the Golden Years (pretty much anytime before 1985)! There is so much detail, color, and dimension in these bottles, made by Rene Lalique, Guerlain, Dior, YSL, and many more. While these classic designs had so much detail, perfume bottles today seem to be more about the quick, convenient use, versus the art and beauty of the bottle.

Below we've collected some of our favorite vintage bottles seen at various auction sites, antique stores, and collector's sites; AND some modern perfume bottles Janice Palmer loves from Bergdorf Goodman that haven't forgotten the lost art of attention to detail!
